No. MedEx for Vets is a private, independent medical evaluation company. We are not part of the Department of Veterans Affairs and are not affiliated with the VA.
What services does MedEx for Vets provide?
MedEx for Vets provides medical record reviews, independent medical examinations, Disability Benefits Questionnaire completion, and medical nexus letters when medically appropriate.
What is a free 15-minute consultation?
The free 15-minute consultation is an opportunity to briefly discuss your case, review the type of service you may need, and determine whether MedEx for Vets may be able to assist.
Are fees discussed during the consultation?
Yes. Fees are discussed during the free 15-minute consultation after we better understand the type of service requested and the complexity of the case.
Do you provide nexus letters for every case?
No. Nexus letters are provided only when medically appropriate and supported by the available medical evidence. A nexus letter must be based on relevant records, clinical history, medical findings, and applicable medical standards.
Who completes the medical evaluations?
Each medical evaluation is completed by a credentialed provider who practices within their professional scope and understands the clinical documentation standards needed to support VA disability claims.
Are telehealth examinations available?
Telehealth examinations are available for select general medical conditions. Eligibility for telehealth depends on the claimed condition, available medical records, and the specific documentation requirements for the examination.
Do you help veterans file VA claims?
No. MedEx for Vets does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or claims filing services. Veterans who need help filing a claim may choose to work with a Veterans Service Organization, accredited claims agent, or attorney.
Can you guarantee that my VA claim will be approved?
No. MedEx for Vets does not guarantee any VA disability rating, claim approval, or specific outcome. Final decisions are made by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
What happens if I decide to move forward after the consultation?
If you decide to proceed, you will complete the required consent and service agreement forms. A secure link will then be provided for you to upload relevant records. If a medical examination is needed and appropriate, it will be scheduled based on the claimed condition and documentation requirements.
